Bhí an-craic againn sa halla ag féachaint ar na gceolchoirmeacha Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí an méid tallann do-chreidte! Bhí na ranganna ag canadh, ag damhsa, ag rá dánta agus ag seinnt ceol. Ag deireadh na ceolchoirmeacha d’fhógair an príomhoide na buateoirí comórtas ealaíne. Fuair gach buateoir duais deas. Comhghairdeas do na cailíní go léir!
As part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations all classes from Junior Infants to 6th Class attended ‘Máire Poppins’ in the school hall. This drama was performed by a visiting Gaelscoil who are currently Leinster Champions in the Féile Scoil Drámaíochta. Bhain gach duine taitneamh as an dráma seo!
A huge thank you to our local Supervalu who provided the sandwiches to feed the hungry aisteoirí!!!
The 5th Class girls have been very busy over the past few months preparing for their variety show. During their drama lessons the girls scripted many of the sketches that were included in the show. Performance day was on Monday 6th March when the girls entertained not only the whole school but their families also.
The show contained comedy sketches written by the girls, solo singing, group singing, poetry recitation and a dance that was choreographed by the girls themselves. The girls performed fantastically on the day and their teachers Ms McEneaney and Ms Cushen were very proud of them!
Huge thanks to our drama teacher Gerry Herbert for all his hard work with the girls and his dedication to the show. Thanks also to Ms Moyne for providing musical accompaniment
As part of our 1916 Centenary celebrations our girls from 5th Class performed the play Triumph of All Sorts which tells the story of the 1916 Rising from before the rising up to the executions of the leaders. Under the direction of our Drama teacher, Mr Gerry Herbert, the girls did an outstanding job. The children performed the play twice, once for the pupils and teachers from 3rd to 6th and once for their parents and families. Well done to all involved and sincere thanks to Mr Gerry Herbert for his dedication to this project.

Bhí go leor rudaí ar súil againn i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge 2015!
We had a very busy time in our school during Seachtain na Gaeilge. Our 1st and 2nd classes enjoyed wonderful tales from a Scéalaí who visited us after we enjoyed our annual Céilí on the yard. We also were excited to hear the announcement of the school wide art competition. Well done to all the girls for their beautiful entries. The winning pieces are displayed in the school PE hall with all winning artists receiving a prize. Our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes participated in a closely contested Tráth na gCeist. Well done to the winning team!
Our annual Ceolchorim again allowed the girls to display the wonderful talent we have in our school. All classes recited poems and sang songs as Gaeilge. We were also treated to terrific tunes from Ms. Mc Monagle’s tin whistle class. Ms. Fox again amazed the audience with her Irish dancing skills followed by a fantastic arrangement of dancing involving girls from various classes. We also listened to a selection of toe-tapping traditional tunes from Ms. Lineen, Ms. Mc Monagle and Ms. Grealis. Well done to all the girls! Maith sibh cailíní! Thanks also to Ms. Downey, Ms. Fox, Ms. Daly, Ms. Lineen, Ms. Mc Monagle and Ms. Grealis for all their hard work for Seachtain na Gaeilge. We are looking forward to next year already!

On Thursday September 18th 2014 thirty seven of our girls from 5th and 6th Class performed at the launch of the Primary Strings Project which was held in the National Concert Hall.
We were one of only three schools to perform and despite having very little rehearsal time , the girls performed fantastically well. They were accompanied by their violin teacher Ms. O’Neill, class teachers Ms. Grealis and Ms. Lineen, and our principal Ms. Burke-Logue. We were also very happy to have Shannon’s mum and Jasmine’s dad as volunteers on the day. A familiar face was spotted in the audience! The girls were delighted to have our retired principal, Mrs. Murtagh, support them also.
